Overview

The Mission

DTB-SOT is committed to the truth that God loves people, gave Himself for them and has given His Church supernatural power to bring individuals and nations into wholeness. God is in a good mood! The school emphasizes that believers need to return to the ministry of relationship with the Lord that includes signs and wonders—to minister in love, truth and the power of God. The mission of DTB-SOT is to equip and deploy followers of Jesus Christ who passionately pursue transformation in their God-given spheres of influence. Our vision is to train students to continue in the ministry style of Jesus: to enjoy the presence of God, say what He is saying, and do what He is doing.

DTB-SOT is designed to be a ministry training center where our students embrace their royal identity, learn the values of the Kingdom and walk in the authority and power of the King. It is a transformational experience and your life will be forever impacted! But it’s not for everyone.

DTB-SOT is not for the faint of heart or lazy. It is an extremely fast paced season of schooling, and you must be ready and willing to invest much time and energy to keep up. Besides normal school hours and teaching, students have weekly assignments, service hours, outreaches, intensive weekends and small group meetings.

DTB-SOT is also not for those who are looking for rehab, and it’s not a discipleship school for people who are coming out of lifestyle sins. There is too much freedom in our environment for those struggling with self-control. Rather than prescribe a list of what students can and can’t do, we have created a definition of what a “Revivalist Lifestyle” looks like.

The Atmosphere

DTB-SOT is a Holy Spirit driven ministry school where students of all ages come to learn how to live in the Kingdom of God and extend its borders through a naturally supernatural lifestyle. It is important to note that the school is multi-generational. One of Dare To Believe’s core values is honor, which manifests through joining the generations and teaching every age group to value and serve one another.

The school emphasizes hands on training and experience along with academic understanding. This creates a “do and teach” culture where all of the students are expected to take risks to stretch their faith and grow in their understanding of God. DTB-SOT believes that each verse of the Bible is an invitation into an experience with the Lord; therefore the students are challenged to live out what they learn in the Bible. This produces a class environment that often feels very much like a laboratory where disciples practice the things they are being taught while instructors coach the process and all this takes place in a setting of passionate worship.

As the year progresses and the students begin to gain confidence and experience within the safety of the classroom, they are sent on outreaches into the community. These exploits include ministry to neighborhoods, after-school programs, and street & service evangelism. When the students take their supernatural ministry into the community, it gets pretty exciting! They return to class to share testimonies, give thanks and debrief, always cheering each other on as they share.

Boldness, passion and risk are center stage in Dare To Believe’s school. These values define our atmosphere and are evident in worship, ministry and in relationships with each other.

Academic Life

DTB-SOT emphasizes hands-on training and experience along with academic understanding. This creates a “teach and do” culture where all of the students are expected to take risks to stretch their faith and grow in their understanding of God. DTB-SOT believes that each verse of the Bible is an invitation into an experience with the Lord and students are challenged to live the New Testament. This produces a class environment where disciples practice the things they are being taught while instructors coach the process and all this takes place in a setting of passionate worship.

Though in-class hours are Monday 6:15 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and quarterly Friday night/all day Saturday, the school will take more time than that. The class hours are learning opportunities with the instructors but they are just a part of the learning experience. Other hours consist of learning through homework, reading, attending services, serving on ministry teams, soaking and prayer times of personal devotion, living the supernatural lifestyle in an honorable way at work, and more. DTB-SOT is not for the faint of heart or lazy. It is an extremely fast-paced season of schooling, but the training is pivotal and strategic. We believe the intensity soon translates into “becoming”; things that are at first foreign and done out of duty gradually become second nature as students move from merely echoing a message to becoming a message.

We are excited to have you join us on a lifelong journey to see the Lord glorified in every single part of culture and society and to experience a life where the things that were impossible now become normal.

DTB-SOT exists with several guiding principles in mind and one of those is that all Christians are in full-time ministry, regardless of their occupation. Whether someone is a doctor, an architect, a photographer, a pastor, a mom or a missionary, all believers are called to live a life that represents Jesus and the values of His kingdom here on earth. Life in Jesus means there is no difference between the secular and the spiritual.

In light of this it is a primary aim of DTB-SOT to equip students to be naturally supernatural everywhere, regardless of their calling. We want to equip and empower students to transform every sphere of influence they walk in for the King and His Kingdom. For us, this means that our graduates are as comfortable healing the sick and prophesying as they are at communicating effectively in relationships, managing their own lives or leading in a ministry.

The school is designed to produce graduates who are full of love, integrity, confidence and honor and are able to walk in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit.

Dare to Believe School of Transformation (DTB-SOT) is committed to the truth that God loves people, gave Himself for them, and has given His Church supernatural power to bring individuals and nations into wholeness. The mission of DTB-SOT is to equip and deploy revivalists who passionately pursue worldwide transformation in their God-given spheres of influence.

Reading on your own time is expected and is a large part of our curriculum. There are approximately 2400 pages of mandatory reading throughout the year. That works out to 10 pages of reading every day of the 240 days from beginning to graduation. That’s on top of 2–3 chapters of the Word daily. So plan on reading 30–60 minutes a day, minimum. Thankfully, it’s all amazing, life-transforming content.

Honor System

Many assignments you will do in DTB-SOT are done on the “honor system.” Wherever we employ the “honor-system” like homework self check-in, Scripture reading or prayer opportunities, we have designed it to do just that—to build your honor. This only works if you are absolutely truthful, so build your integrity one “yes,” one report, one check box at a time. Oswald Chambers said, “My worth to God in public is what I am in private.”

If the Kingdom of Heaven is “righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Rom 14:17), then JOY is 1/3rd of the Kingdom. That means a lot of laughter and fun!! Life at DTB-SOT is full and alive and joyful!  The school is designed to equip students to live a supernatural lifestyle, not just minister in the gifts of the Spirit. You experience life-changing revelation about yourself and the world around you as you become aware of the Kingdom within you and are encouraged to be naturally supernatural by bringing heaven to earth wherever you go.  We believe Jesus meant it when He taught us to pray ‘Your Kingdom come…on earth as it is in heaven.’

We believe the intensity soon translates into “becoming”; things that are at first foreign and done out of duty gradually become second nature as students move from merely echoing a message to becoming a message. Experiencing this together multiplies it exponentially, together cheering each other on as they realize their unique identities, gifts, and destinies.

Academic Overview

The academic instruction at DTB-SOT is unique because it is taught by apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. This gives the teaching a kind of living perspective with five-fold distinctions. DTB-SOT has some powerful guest speakers throughout the year but the primary teaching is accomplished through DVD’s from The Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry and teaching on Hearing God and Dream Interpretation from Streams Ministries.

The students receive a great deal of historic commentary and insight into the scriptures but they are also immersed in a revelatory culture where the Holy Spirit becomes the chief instructor and tour guide. He causes His Kingdom to come alive through the pages of the Bible. DTB-SOT students learn how to read, understand, and “do” the Bible – how to cast out demons, witness, heal the sick, prophesy, preach, pray; practice His presence and much more.
